First day of my last year

My journey to become a teacher has been a long one. After three universities, many student loans, and the pain of transferring credits, I am 23 years old with only one year left before I am officially Ms. Mordue. The final year of school comes with two internships where I will be (unofficially) ms. mordue. I want to share my experiences, fears and insight (and possibly teaching strategies) from inside the walls of a public high school.

High schools get a horrible reputation...it doesn't help that being a high school teacher is listed at #5 on the most terrifying jobs in the United States.  Teachers with passion, hope, and ambition are rare and as I strive to be one, I hope to meet a few along the way.

So here is my blog..I hope to load it with funny stories, embarrassing moments, unusual experiences, and many moments that require growth and courage from the (student) "teacher" who has already been mistaken as a high schooler.
